From a young age, I learned to weave on my own. For 11 years, I was learning on my own. I also used to weave antipuito [jars design], ponchos and chullos [hats]. No one has taught me, I have learned to weave, looking at the clothes of my grandmothers and the old women.
Counting stitch by stitch, I learned to weave. I made amapolas, pata tapas, palma y ramos, ley pallay [weaving techniques].
I like altar concha [design], which has the form of an ear of corn. I like the mayu [river] design, and llama sillu [design].
I have it all in my memory, and when I stop weaving, I can forget.
