The COLORS Repository gathers data from
second/foreign language teaching and learning
and promotes second language research at UCF.

The COLORS Repository consists of both quantitative and qualitative data gathered through language learning settings conducted by UCF student-teachers teacher-mentors for adult, non-native language users in both traditional and synchronous/online formats. 

Securing access to COLORS Repository data is an easy process:

  1. Peruse the COLORS list of dataset options.
  2. Plan the study design. Contact COLORS for a consultation .
  3. Complete and sign a COLORS Repository Request Form.
  4. Complete and sign a COLORS Repository Data-sharing Agreement.
  5. Submit a UCF IRB Application.
  6. Upon approval, contact COLORS to request the dataset to be shared with you. Include the IRB approval document and both the signed COLORS Repository Request and Data-sharing Agreement forms. Data is issued through the University’s cloud system.

Part of the COLORS mission is to train the next generation of language researchers. To this end, COLORS welcome students interested in learning about language research and being part of the COLORS research team.
